Rabbennisten Reinforced!

What a productive week I've had this week (in my mind at least)!!

The forces of Rabbennisten finally received its 2nd Brigade.

Firstly the Jaeger regiment, which although completed several weeks ago, has now been based and given flags!!

Next we have the Household Guard Regiment that were previewed last week, again now fully based and given colours.

And finally, and a surprise to me that I managed to get them done so quickly, a regiment of Fusiliers.

Bad planning on my part in allowing the drummer to have his drum interfere with the placement of the adjacent unit.

Of the three new regiments I think this one is my favourite, probably because it looks a little brighter than the rest, and I like the regimental colour. This has probably been caused by me ordering the wrong undercoat spray, I'm using a much crisper white spray rather than the duller white recommended for contrast paints.

Having looked as the photos as I've posted them I think I'll need to tidy up some of the flag edges.

Another error on my part (which I may have gotten away with) is that I used the wrong bases for these, the first brigade is mounted on 35mm square bases, these are based on 30mm square bases I had ordered as a test.

What I have forgotten to do in preparation for the game this weekend is paint a mounted commander and assemble another artillery piece - well, that's something for me to do next week.

And having completed these I treated myself to a little fantasy figure painting.

This is Zorya, the Dawn Witch from the Moonstone range of figures. These are very nicely sculptured figures, all cast in resin which I know is not everyone's favourite medium.

And now it's time for me to pour a cheeky drink and chill!!
